Just Coming In: # JAMB IS STILL GIVING ADMISSIONS TO CANDIDATES I posted on the early hours of Monday this week that JAMB will upload more names of Candidates of some Schools, on JAMB CAPS, before this week runs out, but some of you thought I was kidding you.....or joking. Well, super Congrats to Those of you that were admitted into IMSU, (AAU PG list), UNIBEN, LASPOTECH, DELSU, etc this this week. The next thing you should do now is to accept your admission on JAMB CAPS, print out your JAMB admission letter & find out when your school will begin clearance or registration. This is to inform all candidates who participated in the Rivers State University of Science and Technology (RSUST) 2017/2018 Post UTME screening Exercise that the management of the institution has released the names of candidates offered provisional admission. Check RSUST Admission List . Candidates are accordingly advised to log onto the University Website www.rsu.edu.ng and make e-payment of One Naira (N1,000.00) only by generating a transaction id on the University Website for the fee and proceed to any of the designated Banks to pay using the Pay Direct Bank Branch option or using Interswitch Verve enabled cards to print their admission status. . New Academic Session To Resume November 12, Registration To End January . Resumption of the University for the First Semester of 2018/19 academic session has been fixed for Monday, November 12 with pre-resumption registration for fresh students. The pre-resumption registration exercise would last until Friday, November 16, 2018, while both fresh and returning students are expected to arrive on campus on Sunday, November 18, preparatory for the commencement of lectures on November 26. Meanwhile, registration of Returning Students will commence on Monday, November 19, 2018. Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic matters, Professor Hakeem Fawehinmi, made the disclosure in a statement conveying the approved Academic Calendar for the 2018/2019 session, which was made available to UniPort News. According to the calendar, the University would close on Friday, December 21 and resume on Saturday, January 5, 2019 to enable both staff and student observe the Christmas Break. Orientation...

BREAKING.: LABOUR CALLS OF STRIKE . . The organized labour on Sunday called off the strike action it declared last Wednesday after the expiration of 14-day ultimatum for government to reconvene the meeting of the tripartite national minimum wage committee. Addressing a press conference at Labour House, Abuja, Nigeria Labour Congress President, Ayuba Wabba said the strike was called off as a result of the firm and formal assurance of the federal government to reconvene the tripartite committee on the new minimum wage on 4th and 5th of October, 2018. . He said, “We have received a firm and formal invitation to a reconvened meeting of the tripartite committee scheduled for 4th and 5th of October, 2018. We demand that this shall be the final session of the committee and that a final report will be submitted to Mr. President immediately.’’
