UNICAL DIRECT ENTRY 2018/19 SESSION (NO APTITUDE TEST)

The authorities of University of Calabar (UNICAL), Calabar invites application from suitably qualified candidates for UNICAL Direct Entry admission into 200 level degree programmes of the university for the 2018/2019 academic session.

CAN I KNOW MORE ABOUT UNICAL?
Established in 1975 as a campus of the University of Nigeria (UNN), the university began activities as the University of Calabar in 1977 and it is located in Calabar, capital of Cross River State. With it’s status as one of the most beautiful campus in Nigeria, the University of Calabar medical school is also rated as one of the best in the country. With more than 40,000 students , the university runs Predegree, JUPEB, Diploma, CES, Part Time degree, Degree, Postgraduate, and Oceanography programmes.

WHAT IS UNICAL DIRECT ENTRY ADMISSION REQUIREMENT?
You are qualified for UNICAL Direct Entry admission 2018/2019 if you have any of the under-listed entry qualification:
Have a National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized Polytechnic.
Have a first degree with a minimum of Second Class Honours (Upper Division) in a field related to your intended field of study from a recognized university.
Have UNICAL JUPEB / IJMB certificate or any other JUPEB affiliated universities.
Have UNICAL Diploma certificate, including Diploma in Law.
Please Note : In addition to the above entry requirements, all candidates must have as well obtained the JAMB Direct Entry Form 2018 and have selected the University of Calabar (UNICAL) as first choice .

HOW MUCH IS UNICAL DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING FORM 2018/2019?
The UNICAL Direct Entry screening fee is Two Thousand Naira (N 2,000 ) only.

HOW DO I APPLY?
Application is strictly online and the UNICAL Direct Entry Screening application portal shall open for applications from Monday 20th August, 2018. There are two (2) options you can take to obtain the UNICAL Direct Entry Screening application PIN. You can take
either of them depending on the one suitable for you.
A. E-TRANSACT OPTION
In this option, you don’t need to come to Calabar to purchase the Direct Entry Screening application PIN. You can get the application PIN at any bank nationwide via e-transact platform and after which, use the PIN to register for the UNICAL Direct Entry Screening there.
Visit any bank branch nationwide.
Request to make payment for UNICAL Direct Entry Screening PIN via e-transact platform.
Make payment of N 2,000 excluding bank charges.
You will immediately be issued with a paper containing the application PIN.
Walk away from the bank to any computer centre to register for the Direct Entry screening by following the application procedure outlined below.

B. SCRATCH CARD OPTION
This one can be gotten in Calabar only and it is for those residing around Calabar or those unable to get the PIN through the first option which is the e-transact method due to one technical bank challenge or the other.
You can get the UNICAL Direct Entry Screening Scratch Card that contains the application PIN at any of the under-listed banks in Calabar only :
UNICAL Microfincance Bank.
FCMB.
Wema Bank.
Zenith Bank.
Heritage Bank.

How to apply:
After receiving the PIN, log on to http://www.myunical.edu.ng/post-utme/
Enter your JAMB Direct Entry Registration Number in the space provided in block letters.
Retype your JAMB Direct Entry Registration Number on the space provided in block letters.
Click ‘Login’
Complete the online application form and please use a valid phone number while registering.
Click on ‘Submi t’ to submit your application online.
Print out a copy of the completed online application form.

WHEN IS UNICAL DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING DATE 2018/2019?
Indications suggest there is not going to be any form of physical screening at the University of Calabar campus. WHEN IS APPLICATION CLOSING?
The deadline for submission of all applications online for UNICAL Direct Entry Screening 2018/2019 is midnight of Saturday 1st September, 2018.

New Academic Session To Resume November 12, Registration To End January . Resumption of the University for the First Semester of 2018/19 academic session has been fixed for Monday, November 12 with pre-resumption registration for fresh students. The pre-resumption registration exercise would last until Friday, November 16, 2018, while both fresh and returning students are expected to arrive on campus on Sunday, November 18, preparatory for the commencement of lectures on November 26.
