Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates, for admission into any of the following one year Pre-Degree Programmes in the Faculties of Humanities and Education for the 2018/2019 Session:
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should possess WASC/SSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB Ordinary Level with credit passes in 5 relevant subjects. See the list of subjects below for details.

ELIGIBILITY
The Programme is open to applicants with a minimum of five (5) Credits in not more than two sittings in English Language and other relevant subjects [in GCE, SSCE, NECO, NABTEB & TC II (TC II is applicable for applicants for Faculty of Education)].
COURSE DURATION
The Programme is for a period of one year (one academic session).
COMMENCEMENT DATE
Online application will commence from Wednesday, 15 th August, 2018.
METHOD OF APPLICATION
Application is online, Log on to http://www.uniport.edu.ng , go to the "ADMISSIONS"/"ONLINE PORTALS" menu, click on "Pre-Degree/Certificate Prohrammes" and follow Application procedure and the instructions; a fee of Sixteen Thousand Naira only (N16,000.00), excluding Bank charges is required. Payment can be made online with your masterc/visa card, or print the "RRR" Remita code to any supported bank nationwide to make payment.
The names on candidates’ O’ Level Certificates must be same as what is filled online. Any false information given automatically disqualifies the applicant.
CLOSING DATE
The closing date for application is Friday, 23rd November, 2018.
APTITUDE TEST
The University Aptitude Test will take place on Friday, 30 th November, 2018
The Venue shall be the Ashgrove Academy, UNIPORT.
Materials Needed for the Screening Exercise
Candidates are required to come with the following and be at the Venue by 8.00am
- A clear copy of Photocard printed online
- Biro, HB pencil, eraser
- Non – Programmable Calculator
REGISTRATION
Registration of successful candidates will be announced in due course.
NOTE:
To transit to the Degree Programme, in addition to the required 5 O’Level Credits, the candidate must
1. PASS THE PRESCRIBED PRE-DEGREE EXAMINATIONS
2. HAVE THE APPROPRIATE UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION (UTME) SUBJECT COMBINATION AND
3. HAVE THE NATIONAL MINIMUM SCORE IN THE 2018/2019 UTME AND MUST HAVE CHOSEN THE UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT
